SUMMARY:OEA Workshop: Navigating Difficult Conversations
DESCRIPTION:While many of us would like to avoid it at all costs\, conflict
  is an inevitable part of life. Whether at work or at home\, there are tim
 es we don’t see eye to eye with important people in our lives. Addressin
 g conflict in a healthy way can broaden perspectives and promote growth. T
 his webinar will examine ways to successfully navigate difficult conversat
 ions by exploring a) how unexpressed needs escalate conflict\, b) ways of 
 expressing needs to promote joining\, and c) developing a healthy mindset 
 for entering into discussions.\n\nJoin OEA member Christina Salter (Lane C
 ommunity College) for this one-hour session. If you require live captionin

 na: Christina has worked in the Oregon Community College system for much o
 f her career. Trained as a professional counselor\, her focus has been on 
 helping students maintain their health and wellbeing while progressing tow
 ard their educational goals. To this end\, Christina utilizes her knowledg
 e of expressive arts therapy and yoga psychology to promote resilience and
  growth. Most recently\, Christina has served as a Human Services faculty 
 instructor and internship coordinator at Lane Community College in Eugene.
